Mantle Chat Monthly Update: November 2025

November 2025 will go down as a defining moment in Mantle Chat's history. We launched in public beta, shipped major features, achieved significant community milestones, and laid the foundation for everything coming next.

Major Milestones

Alpha Phase

We officially started and completed our alpha testing phase this month. Over the past month, our alpha users tried Mantle Chat with different levels of engagement. Your feedback, bug reports, and feature requests have been incredibly valuable and helped us improve significantly.

Your insights have been invaluable, and we're excited to take everything we've learned into our next phase!

Public Beta Launch

After five months of dedicated development, Mantle Chat officially launched in public beta in early November!

We welcomed our first public users and the response has been incredible. From individual developers to teams exploring AI collaboration, we're grateful for everyone who joined us on this journey.

Enterprise-Grade Encryption

One of November's biggest achievements was implementing application-level encryption at rest for all messages in Mantle Chat.

Whether you're discussing sensitive business information or collaborating on confidential projects, your conversations are protected using Google Cloud KMS — the same security infrastructure trusted by Fortune 500 companies.

New AI Model: Google Gemini 3 Pro

We added support for Google's Gemini 3 Pro — one of the most advanced AI models available!

According to Google's blog, Gemini 3 Pro is Google's most intelligent model yet, with state-of-the-art reasoning and multimodal capabilities that significantly outperform Gemini 2.5 Pro on every benchmark. It tops the LMArena leaderboard and demonstrates PhD-level reasoning on complex tasks across science, mathematics, coding, and creative work.

Workspace Context

We released Workspace Context, a powerful feature that enables you to configure persistent AI behavior and upload reference materials at the workspace level.

Key Features:

1. Custom Instructions Define workspace-level instructions that apply to all conversations within that workspace. These instructions persist across sessions and are shared with all workspace members.

Examples:

"Follow my team's writing guidelines"
"Use my coding standards"
"Write lyrics in my format"

2. Knowledge Files Upload files (PDFs, documents, images, research notes) to a workspace. These files are accessible to all workspace members and can be referenced by the AI during conversations.

This feature has been incredibly well-received, with users using it for maintaining consistent tone, storing project-specific guidelines, and reducing repeated context explanations.

3D Starfield Background

We added a beautiful interactive 3D starfield background to the hero section of our overview page!

Built using Three.js and the maath library, this new background creates an immersive, space-themed experience that perfectly captures the feeling of exploring infinite possibilities with AI.

We used the Angular Three Stars example as inspiration, based on the Gatsby Stars demo by pmndrs.

UI & Content Improvements

We refined the copy across our product pages for better consistency and clarity, ensuring a cohesive understanding of what Mantle Chat offers.

We also clarified that Mantle Chat focuses on text-based AI interactions and doesn't support image or file generation, helping set clear expectations for users.

Other Improvements

Throughout November, we shipped numerous improvements:

Improved GPT-5 Model Tiers - Restructured pricing for better value
Faster File Storage - Migrated to Cloudflare R2 for 10x faster uploads
Interactive Demo - Built an interactive demo on the overview page
Enhanced Privacy Controls - Better control over your data and privacy
Workspace Permissions - Improved permission management for team workspaces
Fixed toast notifications - Resolved display issues
Made stars circular - Improved visual quality with round dot rendering
Added responsiveness - Better mobile and tablet experience
Removed unused components - Cleaned up codebase for better maintainability

Started Development: AI Assistants

We began work on AI Assistants, a feature that will allow you to create specialized AI personas with custom instructions and roles.

This feature will take Workspace Context to the next level by enabling specialized assistants tailored to specific tasks or domains.
